Pasko Sa Sugbo 2013 //

December 15, 2013 marks the Pasko sa Sugbo featuring the USJR's performers in which high school and college groove on the center stage at Fuente Osmena Circle, Cebu City.
Pasko sa Sugbo is a month long Christmas celebration intended for the people in Sugbo or shall I say in Cebu City.
USJR Student Supreme Council holds the event having a lively set of performers according to the program proper.
As you continue reading this blog post, you can visualize how the event was successfully done.

The LYRE from our school (USJR) singing the invocation and Lupang Hinirang.

The very lively hosts, Ms. Khirstie Fel and Mr. Martin Paolo.

Baby Jaguars was the first performer, having pop jazz genre in their dance.

The second performer was Mr. Joel Costillas in which he sang a song for the audience.

The following were the dancers from the dance troupe in our school, the ADRAC.

After the first set of performers, they had this game called egg game.
The egg must be eaten and the first one to finish gets the microphone and shout 'Adelante'.

The audience.

Baby Jaguars once again perfomed another dance number.

The sessionistas they may say.
They are the singers from our school in which they sang love songs and a christmas song as well.

The READS band.

Another game called gimme gimme.
A show down of these three talented kids.

After the game, Juvenie and Reesah made the crowd laugh as they had their tall tales.
According to wikipedia, tall tales are stories with unbelievable elements, related as if it were true and factual. Some such stories are exaggerations of actual events.

A group of Engineering students who danced to entertain people.
As what their motto speaks.
'W are not dancers, we preferred to be called as entertainers.'
They move and groove in red and black that night.
They were the Javascript.
If you want to see their dance, just click here.

Tribu Guioguio was the next one to perform.
Unfortunately he was the only one performing.

Enrik Jadraque was known to be the the guy without bones.
Showing off some routines in the genre of isolation and popping.

The second to the last performers.
June Patrick Ducao and Mark Cubillas performing beatbox.

A closing dance number from our very own USJR Student Supreme Council officers, dancing a lively christmas song.
Adelante!

PS: The following pictures below are the performers which I haven't captured using my own camera. Good thing there are pictures taken from Forward Publication's Page which I can grab.

This guy shows off his talent in bartending.

Keycee and Blue burnin' the dance floor as they showcase their breathtaking performance.

The girl on the right side is a good impersonator of Ms. Lea Salonga, and as she started singing, I can really recognize Lea Salonga's voice. Also to her guy partner. They're also a member of LYRE.

Again, thank you so much Forward for the pictures.

To end up the event, we took pictures around the area.
Seeing this giant christmas tree makes us feel the spirit of christmas already.
Christmas is not about giving and receiving of gifts, it is about showing love to everyone.
Christmas is intended to all people.
So, spend christmas happily as if you are still kids.

Merry Christmas to all and Adelante!

PS: I used my Sony Cyber-Shot Digital Camera in capturing all the pictures, so sorry for the not so good quality pictures. And to see more pictures on the said event, you can browse it here.
